DAY 1 MOSCOW

Arriving to Moscow
After finishing customs procedures you will be met by a company representative who will take you to the hotel on a private car.

DAY 2 MOSCOW

Breakfast at a hotel
Meeting with a guide and leaving for the sightseeing tour of Moscow. It starts from the main square of Moscow, the Red Square, adjoining the Kremlin, former citadel of the tsars and actual residence of the Russian President. After the stop at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior it continues on the Sparrow Hills situated in front of the Moscow University, the perfect place to enjoy the bird’s-eye view of the whole city. Then it continues at the Novodevichy Convent which used to be one of the richest and powerful convents in the tsarist Russia.
In the afternoon – visit of the Kremlin territory and two of its cathedrals.

DAY 3 MOSCOW

Breakfast at a hotel
Meeting with a guide and leaving for Sergiyev Posad (70 km from Moscow) to visit the famous Holy Trinity Monastery of St.Sergius. The name of the city literally means “the settlement of Sergius” (in the tsarist Russia the posad used to be a kind of a commercial place) and is referred to Sergius of Radonezh; as the town's name, alluding to St. Sergius, had strong religious connotations, the Soviet authorities changed it to Zagorsk in 1930, in memory of the revolutionary Vladimir Zagorsky. The original name came back into official use in 1991, after the Soviet Union broke up.
Going back to Moscow and taking a walk along the historical pedestrian street Arbat, where the most of the souvenir shops are located. Then going down the Moscow metro, which is fairly considered to be one of the most beautiful metro in the world.

DAY 4 MOSCOW – ST.PETERSBURG

Breakfast at a hotel.
Free time to walk around the city center or else.
Transfer to the railway station and leaving for St.Petersburg on a train.
Arriving to St.Petersburg.
Transfer to the hotel.
Accommodation in rooms.
Free dinner.
Overnight.

DAY 5 ST.PETERSBURG
 
Breakfast at a hotel.
Day dedicated to the visiting of the city of St.Petersburg.
Duration: 6-7 hours
Visits included: St.Peter & Paul fortress and cathedral.
In the beginning of the day we will take a ride around the city to see the places located far from the city center such as Basil’s island, Marine Quarter, St.Peter & Paul fortress, cruiser Aurora.
After the sightseeing tour we will take a walk around the city center with the possibility to visit the Church of the Savior on a Spilled Blood or St.Isaac’s Cathedral (entrance tickets are not included and are to be purchased on the spot).
In the afternoon – boat trip along rivers and canals of St.Petersburg, a great possibility to see the city from the other point of view.

Free time in evening for individual activities or for a walk around the city center.

DAY 6 ST.PETERSBURG
 
Breakfast at a hotel.
Day dedicated to the visit of the Hermitage Museum.
Duration: 4 hours
Visits included: the Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Big Hermitage, New Hermitage, Picture gallery.
 
Accompanied by our guide you will explore magnificent rooms of the Winter Palace, admire splendid interiors of the Small Hermitage. In the Rooms of the Old and New Hermitage you will get to admire the masterpieces by the Italian artists such as Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Canaletto and Canova, Spanish artists such as Goya, Velasquez and El Greco, you will see the painting by Flemish artists such as Rubens, Van Dyke and Rembrandt, and of course you will get to visit the department of the French 20th century art where you’ll see the masterpieces painted by Renoir, Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse and Picasso.
Free time in the afternoon. You will have the possibility to participate in the activities proposed by the guide.

DAY 7 ST.PETERSBURG

Day dedicated to the visit of the Catherine’s Residence in Pushkin and the Peterhof Residence on the Baltic Sea.
After visiting two residences – St.Petersburg metro ride.
Duration: 7 hours
Visits included: Catherine’s Palace, Amber Room, the Park, the Grand Palace, the Park with fountains.
 
We will dedicate the whole day to the visits of the Tsarskoe Selo residence in Pushkin and Peterhof residence on the Baltic Sea. Though both residences were built to the design of the same architect they do look completely different: the Tsarskoe Selo residence buried in verdure of a huge park is overwhelming for its magnificent baroque facade and gorgeous interiors with the famous Amber Room among them. The Peterhof palace is definitely not less gorgeous than the Catherine's palace but still it is unique for its location: the palace standing on a hill and the lower park are like a huge terrace going down to the coast of the Baltic sea.
 
Upon coming back to the city we will take a metro ride to see the most beautiful stations built in the times of the Soviet Union. Along with the Moscow one the St.Petersburg metro is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world famous with its magnificent decoration full of marble, sculpture, mosaic works, bronze chandeliers which reminds those in the imperial palaces.
